Important Considerations about Robocalls

We receive a number of calls every day. Most of them are from humans, of course, but sometimes there is a strange caller who sounds like an alien.

Well, that is not an alien. It is a Robot ready to have a chit chat with you. The Robo-call makes use of computer and internet to dial a thousand every minute and promote services and schemes of the company.

How a Robocall Works?

Well simply, it is an automated call. The program on computer picks out some random phone numbers from the database and dials the call. The call is directed to an automated voice recording of a human when you tap the answer button.

Components of Robocall System

A modem is installed which tweak the system to make outbound calls and detect when a person picks the call. It also records the call. It could be a specific hardware and software that packs an automated dialing system to dial the countless number in a go. This system is connected to a telephone network with a link of VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) to function effectively.

Who’s Calling?

Companies are allowed to make robocalls to the landline numbers. But these calls should be strictly informational.  These robocalls are also generated by the companies you have subscribed for. They call to make sale pitches if you have given permission to them.

What Should you Do?

If you are not sure that this call is from the company you have subscribed to receive calls, contact its customer service representative. He/She will guide you that if you are on their call list and they have actually carried out a robocall activity recently or not. If you are sure that call is spam, do not share any personal information.  If such call asks you to choose options i.e. by dialing 1 or 2, disconnect the call immediately without pressing any other button.

Robocalls Help a Lot

Important Considerations about Robocalls

Automatic calls are a good option to engage customers.  They are an option to hit the more than emails and text. Customers who are interested in your services will defiantly respond positively to these robocalls and you will be able to grab their attention for your particular product or service.

These automatic calls also help people for their own good.  For example, a call from your mobile network service reminding you to pay your postpaid bill before the last date.

Why are they Avoided?

Not all the time they are the legitimate business calls. Sometimes they are a scam and fraudulent. Be aware in such situations.

There are dozens of fraud souls who have an intention to illegally snatch your money away. Robocall technology is widely misused by these offshore scammers to drain your wallet.

Bottom-Line

If efforts are made to weed out these black sheep misusing this effective technology then customers will remain optimistic about them. It will be a great way to pave promotion and marketing for the struggling enterprises.
